All members of the staff songsters must be Salvation Army soldiers in good standing. Furthermore, they are expected to be examples of good conduct, attendance and general support, and to be an active, exemplary songster member in their own corps.

What if my Corps doesn’t have a Songster Brigade?
In situations where there is no songster brigade, it is expected that a staff songster member supports, participates actively and fully contributes to the ongoing corps program, especially the music/worship ministries wherever possible.

Following a successful audition and interview, determination that the prospective member is a suitable candidate will include contact by the Executive Officer with the person’s Divisional Commander for their approval. This will be done in the strictest confidence.
